Family Child Care Orientation

NOTICE:

Family Child Care Orientation Modules One and Two have been postponed until further notice per the Department of Early Education and Care. Stay tuned for more updates.

Requirements to Become a Family Child Care Provider

Step 1: Contact the Department of Early Education & Care.
It is required that potential licensed Family Child Care Providers attend a free “Potential Provider Meeting” at the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) prior to attending the Family Child Care Orientation. This is not a requirement for Family Child Care Assistants. Call EEC at 508-828-5025 for a list of meeting dates and to register.

Step 2: Register for a Family Child Care Orientation.
This pre-service training is required by EEC for those who wish to open a child care in their home and become a licensed Family Child Care Provider or Certified Family Child Care Assistant. See below to learn how to sign up.
To sign up for the orientation, click on the link to the right and download the registration form. Then, fill out the registration form completely and mail it with the payment of $30.00 via check or money order.
